Return and Refund Policy
At Tokyo in a Box, customer satisfaction is our top priority. Due to the nature of our products, we have specific guidelines for returns and refunds:
Returns
Perishable Goods
Our food items are perishable and, for health and safety reasons, cannot be returned once opened or tampered with.
Eligibility for Returns
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We will require a photo of the damaged or incorrect item for verification.

Returns should be sent to the following address:1-32-22 Higashiyukigaya, Ota-ku, Tokyo, JP-13, 145-0065, Japan.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not Japan, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item. We will evaluate the issue and make it right.
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (like food, flowers, or plants), custom products (like special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (like beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. If you have questions or concerns about your specific item, please get in touch.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you can make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 3-Day Cooling-Off Period
If merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 3 days for any reason and without justification. The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unused, or uneaten, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
